Sunday Signage > Raspberry's
Raspberry's is a great little cafe in Folklife Village. They offer everything on the sign and, on Sunday afternoons, live jazz featuring some of the island's best musicians.
I enjoy your Sunday Signage series, Snapper. Always something different. Your excellent b&w image reminds me though of how much our marine west coast climate in this part of the world gives us all the same look. Lots of moisture, tall timber and green moss. Great that you have a Raspberry's Jazz Cafe nearby to warm the belly and soothe the mind. Sounds perfect. Thanks for sharing Gabriola with us!
Jacob, it's not quite as nasty as it seems but we are indeed grateful for Raspberry's
raf, it's funny you should mention the sameness. It's been starting to bug me lately and I've been thinking about ways to visually defeat it. We shall see...
Virginia, I do about 3 or 4 local gigs a year. Play too often and one's currency gets devalued...

Appears to be a bit cool, a little wet, and overall nasty in this splendid photograph. "Hot & Tasty" stuff is what's called for.
Terrific composition!

I love your signs. I am always amazed at what you find. Do you ever perform??? I'd show up for that one.

That's a really atmospheric shot. And B&W really adds to it.
