There are two kinds of beach houses on Gabriola: The newer ones are mostly bigger than they need to be and somewhat pretentious but the older ones are almost all modest cottages like Number 23. The simple ones are definitely my preference but even a McMansion would look good bathed in light like this.

You said it. This light is magic.
You can't beat that low sun behind you, storm clouds behind the subject light. This is so stark it looks like a colorized IR photo.
The light does do all the work, doesn't it? ;)
Yes, I love that light, though sometimes it can be a little too warm. Only rarely... :-)
