Harsh mid-day sun is usually the least attractive light for photography but it was perfect for this shot of a parched meadow near my house. The thin mossy soil is pulling apart from the rock base.

That resembles a few fields in my area. We could do with some rain, as well. Hope it gets here soon. Oh how I long for autumn!
The entire world seems to be suffering. We have whole swathes of our state in drought declared conditions at any given time.
We need rain here in Georgia also.
