Spring Beach is one of Gabriola's undervisited oceanfronts which is good news if you enjoy solitude. I took this photo last week and it was just the heron and me. A beach with just me and a heron would be pretty much perfect no matter what it looked like. The beauty of this one is quite a bonus.
