Autumn Leaf

I was shooting some fall photos for the local paper last month when I found this arbutus leaf stuck in my neighbour's fence. The original was in colour but since The Sounder used a different image, this one goes here in black and white. I made the veins pop by pumping up the contrast.

I think it's a very nice image, I like how the light is illuminating the leaf.

With the veins so visible like that it almost looks as though the leaf is trying to break free of what holds it. Great image for autumn.

Can't wait to go to the links and see what else you have. This one is again, one I would have walked right past. Nice details and light.

Now this is eerie. I almost posted a photo for mono oddhots today of a leaf seemingly suspended in front of a fence just like this. It was heeld there by a spider's web. I could looking at my own image. Marvellous image of yours of course.
