Circles In A Square

Detail from a "found sounds" installation that was erected at The Commons as part of last month's Elements Festival. I was planning on making this one a black and white image but after doing the A-B thing with both versions, I decided I really liked the blues. Mrs. Snapper offered that the colour added depth to the image. So here ya go, another monochromatic colour photo.

I like how you get around color Snap, monochromatic color. Well I'll buy it. Mrs. S has a good eye as well.

I agree with Mrs Snapper - those blues and dusty purples add dimension.

Of course I'm right. I'm the wife! The right to be right came with the wedding band and license. Haha! Nice pic, Snapper! Especially the blues.

In all seriousness, I do like this photo because of all the dimension.

Firmly stated, Snappee! If it had not been a setting sky but rather a clear or cloudy sky then the B&W might have been more persuasive. For mine, though, it is the shapes that are the pleasing element of the image - cogs is good!

Beautiful. I love the colours and the depth. Bravo!

I can only imagine the b&w, but I think this is so much richer.

The festival sounds wonderful.

Nice shooting here! I like your style and eye for content and variation of color. I will post a link to your photo blog on my daily photo blog at blog kc daily photo blog so more people can see your talents.

Point and shoot or DSLR, I have won competitions with both, it is all about talent not always the equipment!!

Great Job on the daily photo blog, I will be back to see more!

Finally I see someone agrees it's the talent not the camera. Ht and run comment. I like this a lot, from the impressionist sky, to the low level shot.

Awesome awesome shot. Love it.

Your pics have *almost* convinced me that BC is the best place on earth to live. (I have to believe in where I live, after all. :) ) Does seem magical though.
