Excuse me while I poke around your blog. I KNOW there's an explanation to go with this photograph somewhere. Great photo but we need more!HA
Virginia, Mrs. Snapper here as Snapper is off helping a friend today. Last week was Fall Fair here on the island and they tried a new approach to a parade. Instead of the parade moving, everyone set up along the route and the people moved. There's a theatre here called The Roxy and the proprietor dragged out Rhonda, who usually stands in front of it, and some seats, to the edge of the road as part of the stationary parade.
Rhonda is the mascot for The Roxy which is THE movie theatre/performance venue on Gabriola, owned and operated by my buddy Stevie B. He puts Rhonda outside when there's something going on so if you're passing by and see her out front, you know there's an event about to start or in progress. Last weekend was the big Fall Fair so he placed Rhonda and a mini-row of seats all the way out by the road so he and his pals could sit out there and watch the goings on. As you can see, we had a nice blue sky day for the festivities. Rhonda has appeared here before in a post captioned Chance Of Rain At The Roxy.
I thought she was on top of a movie theatre - but I sure was puzzled by the seats. Great photo!
Love that Roxy girl, great image, brings to mind days gone by.
I don't know if this will work as a link. If not, nevermind. I'm in a shallow humor type of mood tonight. It made me giggle.
Can Rhonda oversee the new movie projector we have just bought? Always something a little different around here.
