Chopping Block
So far, we've had a mild winter, especially compared to last year. Still, the sound of wood being readied for the stove is a familiar one here on Gabriola.
More accurately, "the sound of my wife chopping wood" is a familar one here on Gabriola. To be fair, you did most of the chopping in the snow last year though, so I've got it easy. Your turn next year. I hear it's going to be really snowy again.
It has been a very mild winter further up the cost in Southeast Alaska too. But, like you the sound of chopping wood is a very familiar one here too. The mild winter has let me get ahead of the curve with 2 years of wood stacked and ready for colder days to come.
