i love all creatures and insects...apart from slugs....england has it's fair share of these everywhere! yuk! but your photo is wonderful! what an unusual subject ;)
But slugs are so peaceful! A slugfest for them is a slow and gentle party, not a boxing match. I was amazed when I saw slugs for the first time when visiting Seattle. Ain't nothing like that in the Midwest of East Coast.

Looks like a major party. I never knew they were such social animals.
Slugs!!! Just what we get for living in this wet and wonderful coastal area. MB
Funny, I really dislike slugs but am quite a fan of snails and often move them so they will not get trodden on.
Great photo.
Nah! Not at all a fan of this garden enemy, not that I'm a gardener. Have to admit though as a photo subject quite endearing.
Terrific black and white shot but not my favorite subject. Slugs give me the creeps. Love the composition though.

I'm with Paul - don't like slugs, but I do love snails, unless, of course, they're eating my delphiniums!
At least slugs are slightly better in monochrome. ;)
YUCK! Snails are a perfect S submission. My kids would be in heaven
