Steve's Stuff

Steve Dawson's gear set up stage left at The Roxy before last month's gig. That's a Weissenborn copy parked behind Steve's Carter pedal steel. Mr. Dawson and band were next door at Suzy's having a glass of wine and making out a set list. It was a great show. I bought the Telescope CD, all original pedal steel instrumentals, cool stuff. Photo made possible by the trusty Leica, 1/15s @ f2.0 using a beanbag on my knee for support.

You and Chuckeroon and your beanbags. Obvious low light. Must work. Add that to my paraphenalia "Must have" list. I can't keep up with you guys to save my soul!

Your were in heaven shooting this stuff weren't you Snap! Love the mood you caught. Of course BW was the ONLY choice! ha

Virginia, no need to buy a beanbag! Easy enough to DIY with some dried beans from the gro and a bit of scrap material. My grandmother made mine for me well over 20 years ago. Needless to say it's a dear possession...

Dear possession, indeed. That's the sort of bean-bag we used to play "non-sporty" games with at school last century.

WEll how big does it need to be? Glad I didn't run to the camera store and buy one. Snap, you're the best and so was that pic today. If I knew what a pedal instrament was I could be humming along!
Julie, Last century sent me into a swoon!
