Oddshots Monday > Negative Space

If you've ever done much marketing of photography, you know that editors and ADs often have use for very simple images with a lot of blank space over which they can lay text, logos, other images. etc. What does this picture have to do with Gabriola? Well, it's been darn foggy lately with visibility limited to the short range.

The rest of the Oddshots are over at Katney's Place

And it's also Monochrome Monday here

Very interesting shot. It never would have caught my eye. You certainly have a keen eye, though! I've scrolled through your photos - just fantastic! I'll come back and visit! Hi from sunny and warm California.

I see your point. If you wanted a change, you could use this picture in your header. Lots of room for your title and it says a lot about Gabriola: wet and woodsy.

A very good mono. The drips imparts a sense of suspense in this photo. I like it!

I posted a similar image with an explanation. It was not well received. Lots of comments but asking for the "pretty" stuff back. Personally I like the simplicity and explanation. I have a library of images like this mags. Bread and butter money.

Hi, I'm Lara Jo, and totally new to blogging but I'm learning and ran across your page this morning. LOVE your photographs and the information you give in every post. I enjoy viewing photography but I LOVE it when a photographer adds a story/comment with each post of his/her work.
