Michele's Hand Drum
Yesterday's art lab photoshoot was intense but enjoyable. At times, there was a queue so I had to work fast but for the most part, it was successful on all fronts. It was a bit like jazz improv, people showed up with their art, told me their stories and a photograph got made. The yurt provided a variety of lighting possibilities including the skylight which I used for this midday picture. Michele handpainted the African fox figure onto the head of her ceremonial hand drum. Beautiful and it sounded great too. Thanks again to Poetry Gabriola for making it happen.
