The Visitors

A couple of our neighbours dropped by yesterday and we love company here at Chez Snapper. It occurs to me that some of you cyber visitors may be tiring of all these snow photos but this is what Gabriola looks like these days so there ya go. As has been widely reported, this year Canada will have her first coast-to-coast White Christmas since 1971. Ho ho ho!

I like taking the snow shots but I feel like they may become tedious to view. Looking on the bright side, we get to enjoy 4 seasons. In 5 or 6 months it will be Spring.

By the way Snap, this is a lovely pic.

If something wearing antlers showed up on my doorstep I'd freak out. If the antlers were hard, I'd start to regret that I ever left New York City. If the antlers were soft, I'd tell the wearer that the party was in the next block over. A photographer friend from Ontario once gave me an Ont. Dept. of Natural Resources a fridge magnet about how to bear-proof your house but it probably wouldn't work for deer. Or elk. Or whatever these are.

Bob, these are white tail deer, the same as you have there in MO though probably not right downtown by the arch...

It looks like the neighbors were a little hungry. they are very beautiful.
I was thinking that everyone was tired of my snow pics but they are so pretty and since I am snowbound that is what I have to take pictures of. MB
The best of holidays to you and yours.

I beg your forgiveness for my cutting and pasting – yet constantly reworking – this comment, but there was no way on Earth I would be able to make it around the whole globe to wish everybody a Merry Christmas otherwise.

You cannot know the pain it causes me to admit that I am a mere mortal (and that the magical elves on my staff have little respect for my authority or their salary packages. Consequently, the reindeer are all filthy and out of shape and the elves that have shown up for work all seem a little worse for wear, if you catch my drift. All they seem to do is sit around smoking, playing cards and telling dirty jokes!

Anyway, myself, Henry and Ezra, would dearly like to wish you a Merry Christmas/Winter Solstice/Hanukkah/Festivus and a happy New Year!

We hope that all of your holiday photos turn out to be triumphs, your Yule logs firm and that Santa treats you kindly this year!

They look like they're waiting for an invitation. Nibblings must be scarce at the moment.
