Sawhorse and Woodshed

We got another 8-10cm of snow overnight and there's more coming on Sunday. I'm starting to think maybe Donnie the plumber was right...

Nice shot of what I'm guessing is your woodshed. Looks like you're getting more of the white stuff than we are in Victoria but don't worry. It'll all be gone in a few weeks (if not sooner)

But doesn't it only turn into slushy mud?

Not any time soon Julie. The temp is not expected to get above freezing for several days.

I thought you guys had mild winters. Somebody once told me there was a competition in Victoria for who had the most roses blooming around their house on Christmas Day. Do you get snow dumps like this because you are on the leeward side of Vancouver Island?

I appreciate your comment at my place about American and Canadian health care. What we have (or don't have) here is a national disgrace. As you may know, my legal specialty is Social Security disability claims (only in America!). It's common that we get calls from people who might be seriously disabled but have no access to health care - we can't help them if there's no documentation of disability. I own a small business. Our health insurance premium increases have run 10 - 20% a year, even after raising deductibles and co-pays. I have rheumatoid arthritis and a history of melanoma. If we ever lost our small group health insurance I'd be S.O.L. As the comedian who calls himself Yakov Smirnoff, the pride of Branson, Missouri, keeps repeating, what a great country.

There, you got me all worked up. My next comment will be calmer. Promise.

Let it rip BOb, you are absolutely right!

Snap, I do believe this is a little manger. I am feeling the Christmasy spirit right now but it does look like one. Bless your hearts is all I can say. Stay warm with the Mrs.

You really do live in a another world to mine. I haven't this much show in the flesh for years.
