New Books

Another photo from the library. When you enlarge the image, you'll see that there are two shelves for new releases by local authors. Quite a few writers have chosen to live here including at least one Governor General's Award winner.

Wow - look at the Canadian Governor-General. And here is Australia patting itself on the back because we have our first female GG. I liked Clarkson who went out to markets to get copies of each previous winner for the GG's study. Are they really that down-to-earth and normal?

Great to have a section for local authors. I like it.

Delete the top comment and do not click link. Trust me. Intriguing to note writers are drawn to the area, and why? I can see why photographers are.

Babooshka, Mrs. Snapper here. I'm a writer and I love it here because it's quiet and all the trees and nature are very nurturing to creativity. When you can take your breaks by walking paths through trees or sit in meadows or perch on a rock at the beach, it feeds creativity. I also love the small town feel and the community. And the fact that everyone here seems to love to read so they really value writers.
