Remembrance Day
Today's photo was actually taken on Canada Day but I'm betting this gentleman was in the service in his youth. And it's Veterans Day in the States so I'm thinking of my dad who was at the Battle of the Bulge with General Patton's Fifth Army near the end of WWII. Also, my mom would've turned 88 today so I'm remembering her too.

This is a fitting post for this holiday, remembering our servicemen and those others who are no longer with us.
I like the term Remembrance Day. We all honor the veterans but it is as important to think of what they did and all the chaos in the world that swirled around them.
And now we can remember these folks near and dear to you too.

Lest we forget.
I always find Remembrance Day exceptionally sad.
