Streamkeepers

Biologist and educator extraordinaire David Clough was on the island today teaching a streamkeepers course at the Rollo Centre and in the field. What is a streamkeeper? A streamkeeper is someone who has taken an active interest in preserving and enhancing their local waterways. Here's the website for the umbrella organization. The course was great and I look forward to tomorrow's session but man o man my feet were sure cold after an hour or so in the creek. Dave's a pro and came equipped with neoprene waders.

This looks like the set-up scene for a Monty Python sketch. Absurdity with a purpose.
