Global Theme Day > Best of 2010

Wishing everyone everywhere a happy and peaceful new year. Today, photo bloggers around the world are asked to select their best picture from last year for a one-off repost. I don't know about "best" but here is my favourite image from 2010, originally posted on September 1st. I guess what I like most about this one is that it has a bit of a timeless quality. It might easily have been taken in the 1930s. And of course, the little girl is very beautiful but not all smiley and posing for the camera as kids often do these days. The image was taken in the allotment gardens at The Commons.

That was what attracted me first, Victor - the timelessness. I much prefer this to the posed image. Here there is a narrative.

Health and happiness for 2011 my blogging friend.

Well done! You're right -- it feels like it's from the 30's. Here's to a New Year filled with great photo opportunities!
