I have poppies in my garden and I love it when they get to this seed producing stage. Yours look a little different than mine, This is a beautiful photograph.
You make these look like alien spores, stripped of the intense color we usually associate with them. I trust that Gabriola's agriculture is not turning into Afghanistan West.

A nice composition. It really makes you appreciate the form of the seed pods.
